I need information as I am completely new to flash.

I would like to make a topographical view of my house and yard, this would be probably 1280 X 1024 in size, and I would want to view it on a tablet pc of 640X480 or about that, meaning that I would need pan, and zoom ability.
I would like to be able to 'look' into my house and show different 'layers' of
my house and yard, IE... the topographical view, house and yard with roof
of house and garage 'removed' so I can see in, and 'under ground' view, where I can see where the pipes and wire conduits are ran thrue my yard. I have the architects autocad files and some pieces of paper with accurate maps drawn on them too. I shoud have all the data needed to make this very accurate

Going on, I would like to be able to click on objects and have that take me to another 'web page' or make a 'pop up expanding' menu appear that would let me either, enable, disable, control, configure, bla , bla bla the item via http post commands. I already have control over many things in my house with rs232 and a program called "SerialHost"... it allows web control of rs232 ports
from the web. Right now, I have a static HTML sprinkler control page..
it works OK, but I want a 'flashy' and funtional web control interface.

thanks for all your input.

I once read a search result by google about a software that can convert raster images (from CAD too, I think) to swf. So try using google to search - I used flash mapping as keyword.

Meanwhile, you might want to visit usflashmap (http://www.usflashmap.com) or flashmap (http://www.flashmaps.com). I also found an article (http://www.geospatial-online.com/geospatialsolutions/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=158394&pageID=3) that might be useful for you

ok, thank you for the information. I need to get much more info to make
good decisions on the process. It would be good to get some peoples
ideas and concepts on how to accomplish this task.

-thanks again

I involved in a thread (http://flashmove.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21043) about navigational map and there's also an attached source. I think the source has some basic ideas that could be of some use.
