Video editing issue [Archive]

I have a some 5000 frame wmv I have imported into Flash MX. I want to reduce it, edit out all what I don't want. So far what is happeneing is I want about the last 75 frames of the video, so I highlight them, select copy (tried cut also) and then I paste them into another flash file. But instead of getting the last 75 frames that I want and selected, it pastes the first 75 of the film. I have tried and over but no matter instead of the end I get the beginning.
Any ideas?

why dont you just do it in some video editor and import back to flash?
I don't see the point to do it in flash...
