Can anyone tell me how to import my studio 3d max files into flash files. Is this possible? I want to keep the animation but they are in thousands of images, is there an easy way to impost all the images to create a flash animation.

Please let me know, I have a lot of beautiful 3d max files/movies and want to put them into a flash movie/format.

Thanks so much,
Cindy

Swift 3d (http://www.swift3d.com) has a 3-studio plugin. Swift 3d will export the files as swf which can be used in flash. DOes that help?

no, swift 3d accept 3ds files so u can do animation and export it in a swf file. It's just a little program, can't compare with the power of 3ds max.

Sorry I'm still confused. An associate at work has created cool animated files made in studio 3d max for our product.

We have flash on our site currently and want to stick with one animated format- flash.

So, if I get this correctly, I will export the whole animated file into swift 3d and export it in a swf file to flash. Will this keep the current animated file.

Or....

I export one image at a time into swift then export one image at a time into flash-then construct my animation.
If this is correct-is there any other way to save time and my sanity.

Thanks,
Cindy

You can import all the animation work you have done in 3DsMax to Swift3D, then export the entire animation into flash format without having to export frame by frame.
But animations created by morphing and bone animation will not be supported. Only simple animation types(rotation, scale ..etc) can be recognized in Swift3D.

hi cindy
I believe that the best thing is to take the frame main of your animation made in 3d, naturally it tries to reduce the polygons to the maximum, and to import the frames in swift3d.
After to try mount the animations within swift3d and after to export all in order to mount with in flash or livemotion.
The created in 3d and exported pure animation in swift3d can work but it is larger.
When it begins to work on a animation must that tasks in the first place to as uses it, if you want to make something in flash you must think to construct also with the programs that save swf.
Swift3d is an optimal program allows you to save in swf animations made in 3d max, but you must use in simbiosi like container in order to not only save in flash

My files are simple objects(mostly) rotating, but have multiple shades of color. Will I lose file information in this process- or will I have to discard alot of data in order to create a good flash movie.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to acquire swift 3d in order to make our files into flash.

You not to deprive of hope, cannot have a resolution better than a movie .avi, but you can create an acceptable movie in swf, also without many tonalities of color, than all they can see without having to wait for hours in order to unload.
Of sure a movie swf it has more outcome that a movie in .avi (for the web).
Swift3d is the way simpler in order to construct movie in .swf of objects 3d.

(You can try to reconstruct the tonality importing the movie in flash 5 or livemotion)
