irie all

I'm at this very moment using3d studio max to create an online activity book for the kids.. it's gonna be kinda like the showcase titoonic.dk style.

Now the thing i'm having problems with is my conversion of renders to vectors. At the momnet i'm cartoon rendering a png and pulling the frames into flash.

When I come to trace bitmap (as in the titoonic.dk how section) the vector graphics I produce are either far too baggy or extremely large in file size..

Is there a part of the process i'm missing? I just want clean grahics.. is it too much to ask .. ;]

Okay the way to go is us Swift3D. This program takes exported max files and converts the wireframes into vector. So when you bring the converted wireframes(vector) into Flash all you have to do is color it in. So check out Swift3D I'm pretty sure this will be your solution to your problem.

I'm developing a multimedia web site for teachers and your project sounds interesting. I would love to see the project. Could you keep me posted on your progress?

Thanks,

The Divva

Hi Divva..

That's no problem.. i've been working on the concept on and off for the past month or so using ideas i've found at the likes of lego and so on..

There's going to be your usual puzzles, and quizzes , pictures to print out and a colouring book.

I'm currently working on the more interactive stuff using the computer keyboard as a sequencer so kids can get the hang of manipulating sound at the same time as getting to grips with a keyboard...

I'll keep you posted though..

shouldn't be too long
