here:
http://fasanimar.com/3D | (V._.V)

Hit the red link in the Flash movie and upload the OBJ file.
Then insert the yourfilename.obj in the flash textfield.

Only OBJ Wavefront ASCCI Files. Any other type will NOT work.
To convert to that format from 3DS or WRL, there is a excellent free
programm [ http://home.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/ ]
a object made in 3D MAX and then converted to .OBJ wavefront by crossroads.
[ http://home.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/ ] Made by Keith Rule's. A lot
of respect for him.

Please upload *short* 5- to 9 kb OBJ files, the 3D engine will not run properly with
more than 140-150 faces.
In Netscape runs about 3 times faster.

Thanks for creating such a cool 3d engine in flash! really kudos to you guys for handling such complex scripting. http://flashmove.com/board/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Here's some 3d engines by Nick Langridge who is also one of my favourites. http://flashmove.com/board/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.crosswinds.net/~nicklangridge/flash

THANKS.
I want to congrat Duncan for the OBJ parser, and Nick for having the math knodlege to make it happen. They really made an amazing job.

It's cut to see Flash interpretating *real* 3D files, as the Maya Wavefront files.
The problem is that is slow. And there is no remedy for that.

Homever a lot of work needs to be done yet, and this is just the beggining of something.
I wish we can came up with something faster enought to be a good 3D engine.

next steps:
removing duplicated lines
hiding lines at the back
and *hopefully* filled faces
